Sometime during the last 2 weeks, the muffler fell off of my generator. Although it was a small headache locating a RV dealer to work on it, I'm currently in the Washington, DC area, the repair was fairly simple. Every facility I contacted only worked on Onan's or GenRad's and had never heard of Power Technology generators. Restless Wheels RV in Manassas, VA determined the cause of the failure and had it corrected within one hour. Cause of the problem was CC only used a 3" nipple from the generator to the muffler. Power Technology told me it should normally be a 4-6" nipple. The muffler was attached to the nipple by only 2 threads. Additionally, there was no support strap within 10 feet of the muffler. Other owner's using the Power Technology generator might want to check how well theirs is attached.

We had a muffler problem on our 2000 Intrigue. It was red squirrels they had stuffed pine nuts up the tail pipe. About a cup and a half and that tail pipe ran all the way across the coach.
We then got a 2003 Intrigue First Avenue and the Hydronic heater tail pipe fell off three times. I finally drilled a hole thru the flange and pop riveted it on. No problems since.
