We are in the process of purchasing a 2000 Intrigue. We travel with two dogs and my wife is very concerned about leaving the dogs in a campground on a very hot day and having the power go out. Is it possible to install an auto-start on an existing generator to insure that a power outage would not be a problem.

Not on my coach as I have to unplug from the generator to plug into shore power, so if the generator came on, it wouldn't do any good as the coach would not be pluged into it.
I've wondered if there is an "auto start" that could be activated by a thermostat in the coach to start the generator. That way I could plug into generator power when we left and hope that it would "start" as needed and leave tha A/C on. Of course, if the generator didn't start...
