2002 Intrigue with Panasonic VA707WEUC in-dash radio and backup monitor. When I turned the system on today there was no backup camera image. I've been through every possible setting to see if I somehow reset something but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I recall there was recent chatter on this bulletin board about fuses and circuit boards for this camera but I have searched the "messages" section and cannot find these previous discussions. Could someone either point me to where to find the previous discussions or educate me as to how to search the "messages" for these old topics? I used the "find" command within Internet Explorer and found a few references but not the topics on fuses, circuit boards, or camera failure diagnostics.
Can anyone help with both the information and with how to search within the years of past messages?

Thanks, Steve - 2002 Intrigue #11382

It's confusing because there are two search boxes above. The one in the orange bar above and to the right is used to search for OTHER GROUPS. Below the orange bar, is another search bar toward the left which is the one you want to use to search for messages within this group. In this search bar, you can search by MESSAGE # or KEY WORD. Good luck.

We had a similar problem with the same system in our '01 Intrigue. The camera worked normally one day and the next it wouldn't come on. I pulled the inside panel (back wall of closet in our model) to investigate, found a rolled coil of excess cable out of the camera, lifted this till I got to the din connector, unplugged and replugged the connector and it has worked perfectly since. Probably a bit of corrosion as this connector lives in the space between the back wall of coach and the end cap.

We just had the same thing happen. We checked everything, tried the reset didn't work. Read on another forum that another CC found the wires under the dash had come loose. Sure enough, that fixed it. Hope yours is as easy as that.

The camera in our 04' Intrigue worked on and off with the bumpy roads. Remove cover on dash played with plug for camera and it worked. We sprayed connection with electric connection spray and secured plug to bracket holding camera and have had no more problems. Been a couple years since.

Steve, several people have given good suggestions, but one I don't think anyone has mentioned is to pull the dash instrument housing on you dash back and make sure that the two ( I think there are only two) wires going to the back up camera are in tight. I had the same problem on my 06 Allure and I just crimped down both of the female connectors a little, replugged in the wires and all was well. This was a 10 minute fix for me. Good luck.

I've had the same problem several times. I now leave the camera cable connector in the rear closet hanging out where I can access it without removing the panel. It now takes a few seconds to restore the camera video.
Another possibility is the inline fuse holder for the backup camera/monitor. Several owners with coaches of our vintage have reported broken fuse holders - we once had this failure too. In our coach, the fuse holder is mounted under the dash behind the panel ahead of the passenger's feet. Any auto parts store should stock replacement fuse holders.

I had the same problem on my 2002 Affinity. The cause was a loose connection to the camera located in the back behind a panel in the closet.

You guys nailed it! It took a while to dig my way into the closet to access the backup camera panel because we have drawer and shelving units in the closet in front of the panel. But once I got there I unplugged the connector and reconnected it and just like that I had my backup camera video restored. As added insurance I sprayed it with contact cleaner before tucking it all away agaain and I am now a happy camper.
Thanks guys!
