Hi We have a 2001 affinity 3172 I think with a girard awning for the patio. Nothing over the door. Is there a fuse somewhere that we can disconnect so the awning will not go in or out while we work on moving things around the cabinet the switch is located in.
We are in the process of building some shelves and the white wire came undone on the switch so you could not stop the awning from retracting. I got the white wire back into the switch and stoppped it but it hit the building next door. All is OK. so I went to take all the wires out to stop that from happening and the awning starting to go out instead of not moving at all. Luckily it worked with the remote. Makes no sense to me, remove power and the awning goes out instead of retracting????? Anyway, have looked through the books but no luck. Is there a circuit breaker or fuse? Have looked in the control boxes in the 2 cabinet back from the p/s door and nothing.
Any suggestions?

I don't know about the fuse because I could never find one either. I'm fairly certain it runs off 120 volts AC and if you shut off the inverter and unplug shore power, the awning won't operate.

The awning operates on 120 volt ac. If you can't find a fuse, disconnect from shore power and turn off your inverter and the awning is out of commission. When you finish whatever you're doing, turn it all back on again.
