Hello,

Has anyone recently had a good experience in getting their coach refinanced? Any recommendations? Thank you,

Herb H.

I can't beat the 4.9% we're paying. What are you looking at and who are they?

Bob,

We are currently financed through US Bank, they will not come off their 6.5% rate.

I can't remember the rate but I think I saw a lower value at the AAA store.
We, as I am sure most everyone who financed is, are under water/upside down on owed versus current value. I am not sure getting refied is even possible.

Being in the finance business.. we can attest that 6.5% is really not bad in this climate.
Personal property loans (like an RV) may have lower rates like 4.875% because of negotiated buy downs that dealers pay to help sell the coach.
Inflation is coming folks... and the banks are running scared.. 6.5% will look great in about a year or two..

We just refi our coach in Dec 2010 with Essex Bank of the West for 5.49% 17 years. Our payment stays about the same but we pay it off 2 years sooner than our 5.99 previous loan. They did require our RV valued but it was done online using NADA guide. Minimal closing fee with good credit.

I refinanced with my Credit Union for 4.25. It's a private credit union. However, you can google credit unions and many are open to the public. I have a friend who signed up with Firemen's credit union and got 4.5.

Tried several places. Currently with US Bank at 6.37%. Tried Bank of America at 5.15%. Refused because coach had over 50,000 miles (2007 Beaver Contessa). We owe about half the value. Tried two others including Essex credit. Both had rates in the low to mid 5%. Essex said no way when I mentioned fulltimer and the other countered with 6.9%.
Blamed it on the federal government new rules as of last October had to have an address etc.
