I want to wire up 12 volts from the coach to the toad to keep the toad battery charged while towing. Has anyone else done this and can give me some tips?

I ran a fused wire from the chassis battery through the connection plug and to the toad battery. Keeps the toad battery charged just fine and any draw would be shared by the chassis battery. When we are parked with the tow vehicle hooked up. it does draw on the 2 8-d chassis batteries but the draw is minimal. Sometimeds if concerned I pull the plug and shut the Tow vehicle ignition off but only if we sit for a couple days dry camping with the toad hooked up. Simple and kust the cost of the wire and a few connectors and fuse.
