I can not get the cook-top to work. There is no propane to it. The propane tank is 3/4 full. I notice there is a solenoid on the gas line leaving the tank. Is this the possible cause? Coach is 05 Magna.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked your propane alarm inside the coach ?

Also, make sure valve under cook top is turned on.

Gary,
You should have a CO2 detector, probably at the base of the cabinet below the gas stove top (they are rectangular and colored black). It sounds like it needs to be reset. This switch, when activated, will cut all propane off to the coach. If you have a refrigerator, which also can run on propane, put it on propane only and see if your alarm goes off indicating no propane. If it does, you can pretty much assume it is either the CO2 detector or someone turned the propane off at the tank.

Gary ......the systems and there operation are sometimes overwhelming.
May we suggest a log book for pre trip. I use it to this day (10 years) as the memory is not what it was. Being off the coach for awhile I can refresh everything prior to driving and following the list covers what's needed to get underway. This also helps when things don't work.
Don't take this the wrong way, please, it is a suggestion that works for me.
I have a small storage bussiness for RV's and if you want to hear some "money spending stories" give me a call.
The most often big dollar mistake is.....not walking 360 around the coach before you move it.

I concur with this. I usually do my 'pre flight' check list, the week before heading out for extended trips. Gives me tiem to react as needed. Many good 'pre check' lists available, but each coach is a bit different, and we all do things a bit different too...
On Propane, it also sometimes takes along time to bleed the air out of the lines. I usualy use the Stove Top, to help get the propane flowing, as it is sometimes two or three tries for it flows to the further section supporting the fridge. If you unit has a propane heater too, that will also help speed up the bleeding air process.
Best of luck - and please let us know the Root Cause when you figure it out.

Jack,
I resemble that comment.
If I ever figure out my coach I will sell it and get another one. I would be bored without something needing an improvement.

We have an Intrigue Ovation and we keep adding also. Shelves in the three storage bays(6) at the same level as the bottom of the twin channels. Its like adding an additional bay. Partitioning off space under the bed. Add ing a cabinet between the night stand and the over bed cabinets in the bed room were the latest additions inside. Removing the door awning, with parts no longer available and add ing a new awning from Zip Dee with an additional awning over the drivers toll window. If I had the time I would have Ed Read and the boys add a third air, only for use when parked, as the Genset isn't large enough and there isn't space for a 10K unit.

Any suggestions. My Gen set is shutting off while driving after running for 10 minutes or so. Runs fine while parked. I've tested with 1 ac running and while 1 or 2 heat pumps running and also with no load. Same result. Full tank of fuel or half tank, same result. Any suggestions?

Tom,
06 Inspire - our gen set was doing the same thing as yours. Had Lee's RV in OK City fix ours. They said that the grounds had to be cleaned up, and once that was done, it's run perfectly since. We've run it 4 times since then, and all seems to be well.

Could it be that your 200 amp alternator is putting out enough amps to fool your generator into thinking that the SOC on the batteries is tripping the generator off? There is a 200 amp solenoid that joins the alternator charge to both chassis and house batteries which might be enough for your inverter to run your 120 voltage needs.
Just a thought because I can get my generator to shut off when my main engine is running or I am hooked up to the grid.
Try shuting off your inverter when you are running the generator and main engine, then the auto shut off will not shut the generator off.

If it's an Onan and turns itself off because of a problem, the light on the start button on the generator flashes a code. The manual has a decoder.
