What does this thing do? I have two directv boxes for the front and rear tvs. Can't use the switch box in the cabinet for satellite have to use the remotes for the tvs to switch to satellite, cable and air switches work fine for all tvs. Can't get a satellite signal to the basement tv. The digital modulator is hooked up to the directv box that runs the front tv. Any ideas on how to get the signal to the basement? Chris Walters

Two obvious solutions.
1 run a cable from one of the DTV boxes directly to the basement TV.
2 run a cable from one or both DTV boxes to the switch and be sure it is connected properly. Loose connectors on the end of the cable can cause trouble.
3 verify the buttons on the switch are working properly. Some of the buttons on my switch will no longer stay in. I eliminated the switch and now use the TV to select the source (ran all needed cables to both TVs).

Chris:
If the video distribution center will not switch it (I never tried because I do not like outside TV's). The easiest solution would be to take the cable routed to the basement from the back of the switch and connect it to the DVR in the same cabinet. Bet you can use the same cable.
I added glides to our audio rack so I didn't need two husky freeloaders to hold the darn interior cabinet in the air so I could work in it....good luck.
