Have always had verry poor reception with original radio. Could it be the roof top aerial or ? Any suggestions on a new radio with built-in CD that will fit? My wife has never liked this radio as it has not been user friendly for her.

I agree the radio is not a good piece of equipment. If you have a Bose system ? Purchase XM signal then wired through the Bose system. I found my AM-FM radio antenna just laying horizontal inside front cap.

For several years I have used xm radio with a FM modulator and roof top antenna. Works everywhere there is access to southern skys.
Now I use a XM Sky Dock with the Iphone, free app, works well.
Cost for the hardware is 69 bucks and the music mutes when you recieve a phone call.
