I'm a CC newbie, but hope to contribute to a large extent in the future as I have good mechanical knowledge and alot of enthusiasm. With that being said, I have recently purchased a 2006 CC Intrigue 530. Just drove it from Indy to Seattle to return home. Since I like to know everything about everything especially in the coach, I was looking through all the cabinets and found above the driver's side the two cabinets above the drivers seat. In one is only the storage compartment (very small) and in the second a black box with apparently some type of running fan inside. Can't find anything in the books about it and was curious what is is and for what purpose. Why does it run even with motor shut off and everything else stopped? Is there a way to stop the unit or should I? The same noise is coming from behind the AV cabinet on the passenger's side but haven't taken the cover off as yet to investigate. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Roger

Roger,

Black box, over drivers seat is a fan to keep the Amp cool part of base speaker of the stereo system. Base speaker is under cabinet to right of sink. The other item you speak of is the fan for the stereo cabinet. That is if you coach is laid out like mine.

Should that fan quit when the motor is shut off and stereo not running?

Hi Joe

I have a stainless steel box under my kitchen sink that says Panasonic on it, it is bolted to a wooden stand to the right underneath my kitchen sink - I looked for some sort of label or something but have no clue what its for - thought maybe u might? My bass for my sound system is in a black box alongside the drivers seat. thank you Joe
Jan

I don't have that box but might presume it's the power for the subwoofer

Roger

Depends on how wired. Some have a thermostat and some are wired direct with a switch.

Would you happen to know where the switch might be located; it obvious I don't have a thermostat

Roger,

The switch (thermostat) is located above the stereo equipment in the stereo cabinet. Little round disk, about the size of a quarter.

It could be the subwoofer so turn up the base on your stereo and check again; My sub is above the driver's seat inside one of the cabinets, but I've heard them placed where yours is
