My son just surprised us with tickets to the NCAA Tournament this weekend in New Orleans. We've never been to New Orleans in our coach and are looking for recommendations on a nice and safe RV Resort. Help!

We stayed at the French Quarter RV Resort a couple of days before Mardi Gras, according to our friends we were visiting you will be fine as long as you do not leave the resort ON FOOT at night. We had no issues, the park was well maintained. Leaving by car is not an issue. the park is gated and fenced.
Have a great time. If you have the time I would highly recommend the World War II Museum.

B Davis, you could also try the State Parks on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain. About $20, very spacious and quiet and under an hour from the SuperDome.
Now, getting spots in any of these places . . . lots or luck!

I realize this is a little late, but, if you are having trouble finding a park, Ron and I stayed at Lakeside RV Resort (?) on I-12 between Baton Rouge and Hammond. Very nice park, about an hour to 45 minutes from New Orleans.

I agree with Brandt. Lakeside is a nice park and is an easy drive to N.O.

We always stay at the French Quarter RV Resort and we love it. Convenient to everything and very secure.

Yep, that's where we always stay, too. Convenient to all, secure, and a really nice salt water pool, too. You can see it at www.fqrv.com
