I purchased new Firestone tires from Parkhouse Tire in Palm Desert, CA. Then, I had them alligned by Pete's tire in Coachella, CA. My front tires are wearing badly on their outside edges after only about 1,000 miles. I suspect a camber problem or ?? Also I have to constantly, slightly correct my wheel to stay on a straight forward path. Needless to say, I am not feeling good about going back to Pete's!
Parkhouse Tire Allignment shop in Fontana, CA has been recommended. They do a lot of 18 wheelers as they are located in "truckers' Mecca". Has anyone used them? Their Palm Desert store did a good job on my recent purchase of new tires but they do not allign.
My coach is in Indio, CA. Fontana is about 90 miles each way. That is about $100 worth of dsl R/T. Comments on the Fontana store or any suggestions for a closer source that can do expert work would be appreciated.

On tires, I too had good service by Parkhouse Tire, here in San Diego.
Some cost for fuel on the alignment suggestion. Redland Trucks is where I will take my Allure within the next few months. I'll also have the four courner weight it. As I researched this, I also consitently heard good things about Colton Trucks. I believe the costs are bit less at Colton. I'm planning other service by Redland Trucks, so will drive up the night before (they have power available to the curb), and spend a pretty full day with them.
One other resource to check, is the RVService review board, you might check to see if anyone mentions alignmnent in shops closer to you.

I had Colton Truck Terminal do my alignment. Experienced no problems since. They might be closer than Fontana but I'm not certain.

I too had my oil changed and minor work done to my coolant system at Colton Truck Terminal. Ed Dolton, ( Shop Foreman) took real good care of me. Very satisfied they way they run things out there. The shop is kept exceptionally clean. I'm in Upland and will drive the extra 45 minutes to have them help me.
They rebuild most of the area's Fire Engines ISL 370 and 400 Cummins engines! Says something about there rep!

Hi Daron, have had my coach aligned about every 3 yrs. at Daniels tire in Sante Fe Springs near the 605, very happy with there services. Also had the rear axle aligned past July. Cost of about 125.00 for front and both at about 180.00 as I remember. Doc. Jim Veen, Intrigue 36 ft. #10299, Palm Desert.

Hey Jim,
How ya doin?
Thanks for you comment. I found Sunair in Cathedral City about 17 miles driving distance. Much prcier but a lot closer. Another member of the forum advised that they had good experieces with their service. Also, I try to avoid LA traffic in my travels. As I recall, you have folks in that vicinity so it is almost on your way.
We are headed to N. CA, OR & WA in mid May. Will we cross paths this year?
