I noticed on the webpage posted by JDRV today that he has an entry door: replacement door check rods for Country Coach Avionic's entry door. Since I will need to take the door apart to fix the broken wires (in grey casing), would it be advisable to replace this rod at the same time. I believe the existing rod is working correctly, but I thought if I'm taking everything apart why not replace it at the same time if it's a regular problem. Also any helpful hints on taking the door apart and fixing the wires would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Unless you do not like the door check, or it is excessively worn, do not bother.
I used his replacement because the OEM "two stop" door check made too much noise against our frame. His kit works, I did have to do a bit of grinding on the door frame to make it work. I am happy I changed mine, I like that it has no stops.

So today I was rewiring the loom that goes through the door in order to repair some broken wires at the hinge; when I took off the door panel the piece (pictured) fell out and I have no idea where it goes; any help out there???

You are finding out a weak area in the 06 intrigue and maybe other models or years. The part that fell off is the stop on the back side of the door limiter, a weak design a replacement link is available Kevin Waite. Bob 06 intrigue 12047

It looks like the piece that bolts to the end of your door stop. Is your door stop in place or have you had to replace it in the past and this is a left over part?

Be careful there are two styles of door stops used during this period of time. Kevin did not have the one for mine coach which is not the same model and may be a different style from yours. Kevin can explain it better.
