I am looking for a VMSpc cable for less than the $400 a new one costs. Anyone have an idea where, if possible, you can get a used one?

David,
Just received mine with the USB connector. Bought it from RVUpgrades for $340. (new).

FWIW I had no end of troubles with the earlier serial cable version. I just received the USB version and it worked the first time and flawlessly. Very few computers come with serial ports anymore, they have been replaced with USB connectors. You therefore need an adapter to convert the serial connection to USB. In theory this should not be a significant problem. In practice some folks, like me, have put up with 3 years of aggravation and loss of use.
The point is not that the VMSpc is bad, it isn't, it does exactly what it is designed to do. I am sugggesting you avoid buying a used serial connection version. You probably would have no problem. But, on the other hand....
I saw in the Good Sam Highways magazine Banks has a new system that might be much more powerful than the VMSpc. Anybody familiar with it?

Hi Dave:
I have a VMSpc unit that I am not using since I changed coaches.
If you are interested just give me a call at 231 627-3454 or tee024@... (tee024@...).
