I replaced mine with the Safe-T-alert 70-724-BR propane and CO monitor since it is the only one available with the solenoid valve like my old one.
You will need to replace your old solenoid valve with the one included in the purchase if you decide on this unit.

If you are good with electronics, you can replace the sensor. The company who makes the sensor will sell you another for $20. Desolder the old one and resolder the new one.
I did it and it worked for the most part. Better than spending $200. I'll try to find the company's name and phone number.

That's the only detector I know of with the solenoid valve. I replaced the one in my 2000 Magna with that one but had to cut the hole slightly larger in the width dimension of the detector. The replacement solenoid valve should come with the new unit. You will also need to find a ground wire as the wiring is different.
With the Saf-t-alert you have to supply a positive and negative for the relay that controls the solenoid. The solenoid runs significantly warmer than the original. I had a bit of problem with the fittings they shipped with my detector. One of them had the threads deformed and I had to replace it. Fortunately there is a very good hardware store in my town that had the fitting. Neither Lowe's nor Home Depot carried the fitting.
If I were to do it again I just might remove the solenoid and use another detector. I believe I read someplace that newer motor homes don't use a detector with a solenoid. The solenoid does draw current the whole time the detector is turned on.
