I'm sure a lot of us have the slide working out problem, I know I do. Electric driven, but often out approx. a 1/2 inch at the end of a days drive.
My current answer is to try and remember to "bump" it in with the switch occasionally.
If someone has a better answer, I hope they will share on the forum. Thanks,

Someone cut a stick and placed it to keep the slide from working out. I have not tried it, mine still work

Resetting the brake is worth a try. In our case it didn't work. Installation of new motor solved problem.
