I have all the usual(DVD, CD changer, receiver, etc) hooked through the wineguard switch. The power light remains on until I connect the main satellite cable and the light goes out. When I called wineguard, they said it doesn't require power when the satellite is being used. Is it still powered even though the red light indicator is off? Roger Harper

Roger on my wineguard switch the power is only used for the antenna not used for sat. or any other function. Mine is a power amplifier for off air signals.
