I am helping (attempting) a friend replace a non-working rear view camera in his 1999 Intrigue. We need to replace the cable running from the rear through the bowels of the coach to the front. We have been unsuccessful in getting a snake through the maze of cables and are looking for suggestions. Anyone have a success story to share??

Mount the camera high, close to the roof and run the cable on the roof.

Hopefully you haven't pulled the old cable out. If you haven't, you may be able to tie the new cable to the old and pull is through. Chances are though, the old cable has cable ties along the route somewhere to keep it in place and if that is the case it won't work. If the old cable has some free movement you may be in luck. I would make sure the old cable is the problem first. On my 06 Allure, the connection in the dash had moved enough that it wasn't making a good contact and the camera quit. It was a simple fix. Good luck.
