Magnamamma2000, do you have a bedroom slide? It seems that it would be easier to put a regular size queen mattress when you don`t have a bedroom slide. Has anyone with a bedroom slide increased the size of their mattress?

Hi All, yes, we have a bedroom slide and our platform measures 58x77. I have installed a 60x80 mattress that is has air chambers inside the bed. It is VERY light weight, no extra struts needed! The bed is fully adjustable on both sides ALL of the time. I find that some days I need a firm bed & other times softer, also no pressure points on hips or shoulders. Any questions, email me direct, Candy

No, I do not have a bedroom slide, but the original mattress was smaller thatn the actual platform, so there is not that much overhang. It is not that noticable really. Don't weat the few inches- you won't notice it.
