For the last 4 weeks, we have been parked at an RV park here in Austin using city water. A couple of days ago, the water started tasting a bit stale-musty. I checked at the post and the city water is fine so the water is picking up the taste from the coach somewhere. Would the water filter suddenly go stale on us? Any ideas?
I also had filled our water tank and have been running it dry (& then refill), about every other week just to allow the city chlorination to help keep it clean. Today, just to try and isolate the stale/musty taste, I shut off the city water and used the tank water. The water pump though, is pulsating causing the water at the tap to surge-pulse. The water pump is a Flo-Jet 4400-143. Is this surging a sign that the water pump is about to bite it...? Do I need to add air to the accumulator tank (if so, how do I do that)? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Sounds like the filter is shot and partially plugged. When ever there is a doubt, change it.

Thanks, Dave... will be changing out the filter this evening..
This week seems to be the water problems week. Got back from New Braunfels a few hours ago, got some ice for some tea and sat down to read the newspaper. A short time later I hear that

I agree with you about the Samsung, but it uses the same 1/4" plastic water tube for the ice maker.
