My rear 15k BT unit which is ten years old is exhibiting the following behavior. It starts (sometimes it turns on for 30 seconds or so and shts off, then it cools very well for 20 minutes (sometimes longer). Then the compressor shuts off but the fan runs for a while. Then the unit, which should still be bringing the temp down) shuts off. The CCC indicates that it is off, which it should not given that the temp is set at 65) for a few minutes. Then it starts up again, cooling well and the cycle begins all over. What is wrong? Something in the unit? The CCC?

Might try cleaning the fins, inside and outside.

Sounds like the computer needs to be rebooted, Rich. There's a way to reset the CCC. I think I have the manual somewhere http://humongousclipboards.com/countrycoach/acservice.pdf (http://humongousclipboards.com/countrycoach/acservice.pdf)
If you have trouble downloading it as I did, I can send it to you. It is 3mb.
To reset it, you hold down 2 buttons, not sure which ones but the manual should tell you.

How've you been.

Turn off the Comfort Conrol Center

On the roof...
1.) take the shroud off the AC unit.

2.) expose the wiring by removing the metal cover on the front right-hand corner of the unit.

3.) un-plug and re-plug the "telephone" connector several times to "brighten" the contacts... DO NOT USE CONTACT CLEANER!
4.) "exercise" the "dip" switches, being careful to re-set them exactly as they were.

5.) replace the wiring cover and shroud.

In the coach, turn on the Comfort Control Center, wait 10 minutes, and do a "hard" re-set... The "hard" re-set procedure differs depending on whether you have a 4 button CCC or a 5 button CCC... Hard reset procedures are found in the Duotherm manual, can probably be found on-line if you don't have a manual...

To reset on a four button control,

First push and release the mode switch to activate the control.

Hold down the two bottom buttons

While depressing the two bottom button, then push and release the MODE button again.
Release the two bottom buttons, then press and release the MODE button once again.

That should reset to factory settings.

This works on mine.
