My front steps have started not closing all the way, leaving about 1 1/2 inch hanging out when traveling. Anyone have experience with this and how to fix it? Also, is there a better phone number for Kwikee service other than 800-736-9961? I've been calling all week and it's always busy, and there doesn't seem to be an e-mail address with which to contact them.

I have experienced a similar problem, which was usually fixed by cleaning and lubricating the tracks on a regular basis.

Have you tried kwickee.com? Also, have you looked underneath to see if anything is binding?

You can download a pdf copy at

http://www.kwikee.com/PDFDocuments/842OwnersManualRev3.pdf (http://www.kwikee.com/PDFDocuments/842OwnersManualRev3.pdf)
I tried to upload a copy to the files section but it's too large. One note on your problem, the series 42 senses stall current to shut the motor off. I had a bad race in the step slide that stalled the motor. Got new slides from Kevin. Other (more likely) is that the slides are dirty and stall the motor.
