How do you remove the horizontal "dashboard" surface between the vertical instrument panel and the windshield?
I need to access the driver side windshield wiper motor; it is running erratically.

on my unit there are two phillips head screws in front of the panel (just behind the windshield) covered by two caps; remove them and the whole cover over the instruments comes off easily

Have you checked the ground? First thing to check for such behavior.

I had the same problem. I removed the Instrument panel cover and it allowed more light in for me to see from underneath the dash. After removing the wiper blade, I was able to unbolt the wiper motor assembly. I found that the arm that was attached to the wiper motor had worked its way loose, cause it to act up while driving down the road in the rain due to the pressure from the wind, but sitting at the house under the barn it would work fine. After tightening it up, I added a lock washer to prevent it from happening again. Hope this helps! Archie Ritch 98 Intrigue 10647
