Hi Tom,
The ride height horse just wiggled - - hold on while I get a stick!!
I'm writing directly to you because the forum is probably tired of hearing about this and I'm embarrassed to ask....
I was under the coach fooling with the steering box (it has play in it, damn it!) and I noticed the end links to the sway bar needed new grommets. They were SHOT - - two missing completely and all the rest badly deteriorated. Long story short, the sway bar was not being held in position as it should. More on that later.
In the process of removing the end links, I rotated the sway bar upward. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
I had failed to notice the ride height valve was attached to the sway bar, and the rotation made a major correction to ride height. Although the coach was totally depowered, the mechanical movement did its thing. It scared the foo out of me and I still can't believe how fast I got out from under!
I now realize that the floppy sway bar has likely been sending squirrely signals to the air bags as I drive down the road. Cool, huh?
I disconnected the ride height valve lever from the sway bar bracket to complete my end link refurbishment, but I cannot remember the arrangement of the bolt, two washers, two nuts and the poly spacer.
You mentioned a while back that you had pictures. Do you still have them, and could I impose on you to forward them to me?
(Do you see why I'm keeping this off-forum?)
Thanks in advance. Travel safely, and all the best.

If you think I felt stupid after actuating the ride height valve, think how I feel knowing that I sent this to the entire group instead of just to Tom Chesna.
That said, I do have the front wheels raised on 2X12's and, except for my beer belly, I'm a pretty skinny guy.
Quick too.

Jay,
I, for one, am very grateful to your for sharing this. It will be a very healthy reminder of what can happen if I should think about climbing under my coach without first blocking it up.

Working on number one (but I'd better stay off this chat site!!)
