I had the same problem with mine last month. It would start without a problem, but then would turn it's self off after a couple minutes. We took it to the Cummins dealer in Salt Lake City. Their diagnosis was that the thermostat was bad. After removing engine I saw that the t-stat spring was actually broken. They said it was due to corrosion and inactivity. The t-stat housing was also corroded. So far after the fix no problems.
