Klaus Stoeckler sent the following email to the Country Coach International Virtual Office, asking that all Country Coach owners be made aware of or reminded of the potential PTO failure problem lurking under some of your coaches.
Klause wrote to CCI "Please see attachment (Klaus attached the PTO 101a article Bob Handren, George Harper, Roger Ulrich and I wrote so time ago, which is in this Group's files). I had a catastrophic steering failure on my 2005 Inspire while driving on I-10 near Tallahassee FL on 05/10/2011. The loss of complete steering could have been catastrophic. I think you may be well served by informing all CC owners. This is an ongoing expensive problem if you can find the parts."
For those of you unaware of this potential problem, please read PTO 101a. I will also post this to the CCI Yahoo Group and do a "Tech Talk" article in the June CCI eNews, ON the ROAD AGAIN. You can access past issues of OTRA at the CCI website -

I just had the wet kit installed in my 2007 Inspire. Work was done at the Colton Truck Terminal Garage for less than $900, parts and labor. They are great folks.
