Hello all,
We have a 2006 Allure 430 with an Allison transmission, and was wondering if anyone knows if Country Coach originally put TranSynd fluid in the transmission when they were sold, and if not, how can it be determined if there is currently TranSynd fluid in the transmission.
We appreciate your assistance,
Thanks,
Jerry Keller

Jerry, My bus came with TranSynd in it. Your bus is only two ahead of mine so I suspect it's the same situation. There's another gentleman here that has bus #31348. Perhaps he'll weigh in on this. If you have any doubts, however, I'd suggest replacing the fluid with a known type. I'd also imagine those working with these fluids should be able to tell (perhaps by smell or color) what type of trans fluid you have. When I had my radiator done, the shop had a pump siphon they put down the transmission dip stick tube to remove fluid. If I remember correctly the Allison doesn't have a drain plug.

Did you look in the engine compartment? You ought to find a TranSynd decal.

Thanks for the responses... I and the mechanic, and a quick call to Country Coach determined and confirmed that we have TranSynd fluid.
We only have 36,000 miles on the coach but it is almost 5 years old so we decided to go ahead and have the fluid and filters changed.
Thanks again,
Jerry
