We'd like to replace the TVs in our '93 Magna and are hoping for some advice from those who've "been-there-done-that." Is it best to re-do the whole front, including all of the other panels, or is there a way to do just the TV box? Vern & Glenda

One way is to fill the front of the TV box with plywood painted to match and use a wall mount bracket to hang the TV on. Simple effective. Can also use a 12 v winch and HD movable wall bracket to allow the TV to be lowered to eye level.

Vern and Glenda: I have a 94 Concept that had the TV mounted over the drivers seat. I did not want to change any of the overheads as it is covered with ultra leather. I removed the frame around the TV which was oak. I took out the old TV covered the hole with good plywood stained to match the frame drilled a small hole in the plywood for the antenna cord and the electric, remounted the frame, then mounted the tv Mount on the plywood, and attached the new LCD TV, very light and very thin. I did the same in the bedroom. Both look like they were original with a minimum of fuss. Neither has movement going down the road.

I didn't do it but the PO replaced the original TV's in our coach, I can send you some pics. the front tv covers the whole box where the old tv was and looks really clean.

I took a quite different approach. My TV was located in a head knocker over the passenger seat. I removed the TV and the frame, had a new frame with a tambor door made and installed and use the space as a "communications center" for my modem, router etc. I purchased a Sony 32" TV which I set on a stand opposite the couch. When I travel, I simply unplug the power and antenna leads and set it on the floor behind the passenger seat with a pillow in front and behind it.
Works great for me as the TV has a much larger screen and is at eye level.
