Anyone been on highway 247 out of Barstow to Twentynine palms? And then on to 62 to I-10?

Yes, no problems. Our trip was about 2 years go, we're 40 feet with tag and toad.

Jim,

Thanks for the reply. Made the trip today and it was certainly unusual. Some grades had to be 15 percent but only for a couple hundred yards. The terrain was interesting, the road narrow but no traffic. The climb out of Barstow must have been 20 miles long, not steep at all but up all the way.

Lyle, have traveled 247 from Barstow to Yucca Valley many times and then 62 to the I-10. Road is 2 lane and easy to travel as low traffic and grades less than I-15. Jim Veen, 96 Intrigue, 10299 , Palm Desert.
