Good evening..

We have been looking at several Country Coaches.. The two that we drove and liked both had the Silver Leaf and neither one worked. Is this common or have we just been very unlucky.. Thanks for any informatio...
Also you thoughts on 2007 Affinity any good or bad.. Thanks in advance

'Paints,' a name would be nice.

Is the SilverLeaf non-functional, i.e., broken, or did the prior owners screw it up?

How do you know "neither one worked?"

Just for your information, I have a 1997 SOB with a SilverLeaf. I am over 10 years old and therefore had trouble programing the da-- thing. Called SilverLeaf for help and they were very friendly and accommodating.

The one coach we looked at had the unit out being fixed and the next one they couldn't get the screen to come up.. Anyway I'm sure if we decide to buy either they will make them work.. But we started losing faith in the Silver Leaf when both didn't work....
Thanks for all you help
Sid

Sid, SilverLeaf has excellent customer serve, so I agree with Jim E.

Sid,

There is a switch below the Silverleaf display, on the late model Affinity, labeled AV-1. This switch needs to be flipped to the on position for the display to activate. The unit may only need that tweek.

Sid,

My coach second hand and it had a factory installed SilverLeaf model VMS200. After a year the screen images began to break up and it became difficult to read. I spoke to customer service and purchased a model VMS240 for $1,995. The gave me $500 trade in plus $600 for bad display discount so my net cost was $909. The VMS240 has additional functionality and a bigger, brighter screen so I was happy - still am after four years.
