Hi All:
My problem is that the front air conditioner on our 2000 Affinity B&B is not accurately calibrated with the wall thermostat by 8 or 9 degrees.
I would like to know if the other 2000 Affinitys on our board have a remote temperature sensor connected to their front air conditioner. It doesn't appear that I have a sensor on the front air.
Dometic feels like I should have a remote sensor connected. I would appreciate any help. Thanks tom Dunlap

Tom... before you spend money for a "repair"...
Turn off the Comfort Control Center and get up on the roof...
1.)take the shrouds off of both A/C units
2.) on the front right-hand corner of each A/C unit you will find a metal cover held by 2 screws... remove these covers for access to the wiring and circuit boards...
3.) un-plug and re-plug (several times) the telephone type connector at each A/C control board... this will "brighten up" the connections... DO NOT USE CONTACT CLEANER!!!
4.) "excercise" the dip switches on the control boards several times, be sure to put them back in the original positions...
5.) put the metal covers and the shrouds on both units...
In the coach, turn on the Comfort Control Center, wait 10 minutes, and do a "hard" reset. Procedure for a "hard" reset is in the duotherm manual... if you don't have the manual, It is available on-line... There are 2 re-set procedures... one for the 4 button unit and a different procedure for the 5 button unit...
it's worth a try and may solve your problem...

Tom
I replied to you personally but your registered email bounced.
You probably do have a sensor. The sensor is located just behind the driver's seat underneath the small cabinet about 6 inges from where the TV cabinet meets. It is a small white dot. They go out of callibration and need replacement. Look inside the dometic unit from the filter area. It is 2 white wires connected with a white connector. (not what look like a telephone RJ connector) unhook this and it will revert to the CC unit thermostat. See if this helps.
This is where the sensor is on my Magna 2K
I've got the Dometic Service Manual if needed.

Jon, thank you for the reply. Actually I do not have a sensor on the front air The senor cable goes directly to the thermostat. What I did find is a broken conection at the circuit control board.

Hi Buck:
You saved the day and some dollars. LOL When I opened up the air unit I found a broken connection on the sensor transmission cable ceptacle on the circuit board. It should be repaired this Sunday afternoon.
I am moving a little slow thanks to two back surgeries in the last two weeks. LOL Thanks again, I appreciate the help.
