This is for those who are still receiving satellite TV signals with a dome.
I was having trouble getting a strong signal with my 6 year old "Track-King" dome. So I called King Controls for advice.
The phone tech was wonderful to work with. He walked me through some diagnostics that detrmined the problem. He then advised me of the simple tune-up procedure that I needed to perform as follows:

1. Remove the dome cover.
2. Remove and clean each of the internal cable connections(about six)and the main external connector. I was a little dubious about this as they looked clean and shiny before cleaning. But, I followed the instuctions anyway. I used spray contact cleaner. Then, I applied dielectric lube on each one
3. Re-install the dome cover.

This took about 15 minutes. This easy fix worked! While I was at it, I applied a coat of their spray-on "Magic", rain fade preventer. The results were immediate and proved to be very worthwhile. We are getting a srtong signal even when dodging tree branches.
Oh, another thing, We are even getting a picture in the rain! That is something we have been missing for a long time.
BTW, the tech said, "Do not attempt to use Rain-X on the dome as it is not compatible with the plastic dome material".
