We have some unassigned buttons on the switch panel next to the bed and would like to connect them to the 2 vent fans.
Intellitec says programing is done with a simple windows based connection.
Is this something I can do myself? If not who around Eugene/JC can and make the appropriate labels?
Thanks, Jim

Jim,
You need an adapter box that connects your PC into the lighting system. I gather through the USB port. Last I checked I think that was about $100 or so. I believe they've got some sort of utility to allow button assignments to be managed. I've not used any of this, however. Not sure about the label strips. If you do the programming yourself please report back your experience. Many thanks.

I have an 09 Magna that I took delivery of 2 months before they closed up. During the factory delivery I had CC reprogram all the switches to something more logical. They were supposed to send me the new labels but they were moving that machine to different plant, so I never got it done before they closed up ( you may recall it was temporary at first ). I ended up getting the labels made up by the company that does that work for Newell as it is a special machine and likely only the manufacturers have it. As it turns out, there was a problem with the programming and when in Chapter 7 ( even though he was not supposed to ) Jim Smith sent the corrections to Lazy Days in Florida, when we were passing through. ( 2 hours at 120/hr -crazy ) In short, either the new company or someone like OMC would likely have to do this for you. The software is probably not difficult, but you would have to be careful and I can't imagine it would be worth to learn on your own.( if you could get the software ) You should know that there are dimming and on/off functions in each switch plate ( 6 or 10 ) When we re-programmed we ran out of dimming function switches and so have a couple of lights that are on/off which we would have preferred to be dimming. As well, on my coach there are 2 sub-panels . The panels sort of control a corner of the coach. Each sub-panel talks to the main controller . The main thing to know , is that there is a main 12V supply to each sub-panel, and all items in that corner of the coach are fed 12V from that sub-panel. You then have to run 12V power from the sub panel to the device ( your fans ) as that is what controls the device. I would imagine that may be your biggest problem. You can control an item in another area and from another sub-panel, however the power has to be run from the sub-panel to the device (your fan ). My guess is that that this may be more of a problem than it is worth. You should note that you can use the spares switches to control something already programmed in the system . this might be , turning on a light in the hall or bath area from your bed switch. Just an idea ! I would call the factory or OMC and see what they say. As a point of interest Intellitec would not do ANYTHING to help me when i had the original programming and label problems, so i would guess they won't send you the software.
Good Luck

The fans are already on the Intellitec system, on/off, all I want to do is make those functions available on the switch panel next to the bed.
If I find out anything I'll post it here.

Jim:
I can get the panels programmed for you & I will also check and see if I can get you some labels made if you are still in need. Feel free to contact me off forum if you like.
