I am considering replacing the four 8D house batteries in my Allure. I am going with wet batteries because of cost and I have a watering system. I am considering doing this myself and wondered if anyone has some suggestions or tips for doing the replacement.

Thanks, John

Make sure you have a strong back or you have somebody to help you. Those batteries are about 150lbs each.

John,

Make yourself a sketch of the batteries and number the terminals on the sketch. Using masking tape, number each battery cable according to the terminal it is connected to. This will help to insure you connect the cables to the correct terminal once the new batteries are in place.

And while you have the batteries out, clean, prime and paint the entire compartment.
