Herb posted several years ago some up grades to the Allure he owed. One was a tie for holding the mud flap when you leveled the coach. I went to make this system up myself and when I studied the mud flap and see how it can create heat, and it stops no debreu. Can anyone tell me is there is a reason not to remove the flap. I know it is great advertising for CC but anything else.

Hi Jim,

We removed ours several months ago and noticed after 6000 miles that the temp is about 5 degrees cooler, and I think we are getting 1/2 mpg better than we had. We've seen no problems for our Buick Enclave toad so far.

Jim,

Do a search on mud flaps. Plenty of great info out there.
I took mine off three years ago. Transmission temp went down 12-15 degrees and MPG went up almost 10%.
