I'm really not sure that by Foretravel giving a thirty-six month warranty means they have more faith in their coach! We owned two Foretravels prior to buying our Country Coach. We have been motorhoming off and on since 1979 so we feel that we have a fair amount of experience. On one Foretravel, we had gone through 11 speedometers and the engine kept dying out; ultimately the problems were solved but they had the coach more than we did for the first year. Consequently, we negotiated a settlement satisfactory to both of us. However, we have never dealt with people who had customer service skills as good as CC. They have even taken care of "out of warranty" problems in a mutual satisfactory way. Any machine that has as much "stuff" on it as a motorhome does and then gets bounced over some rough roads is bound to have problems arise. Granted, bad accessories can cause immediate problems but I don't believe they are intentionally chosen; some decisions just weren't good ones from the start and have to be dealt with until new replacements can be found. When Bob Lee was gone, there was a different attitude about customer satisfaction; you had to be more perservering. In my opinion, Foretravel still has a better quality interior; however, the price differential certainly reflects that difference. We're not as skilled as some, but you can do a few thousand dollars of upgrades by yourself and it costs far less than the initial price difference.
