CCFI invites YOU to Rally with Us this September. Let's Celebrate Country Coach in Oklahoma.
Over 38 years ago, Bob Lee had a wonderful idea... The World's Finest Motorcoaches and Country Coach was born. During the company's nearly four decade history thousands of beautiful coaches found homes with RV enthusiasts nationwide. This rally celebrates the motorcoaches we proudly drive and the friendships we have formed over decades of rallying together across this great nation!
CCFI is excited to meet you in Oklahoma for four fun days this September in Thackerville, Oklahoma. But hurry: space is limited to the first 100 coaches registered. The site is: WinStar RV Resort. The dates are September 13-17. The Rally Theme is Celebrating Country Coach!
What can you expect?
Up to 200 Country Coach owners, service vendors, and friends gather for non-stop fun! Throughout the day, meet new friends attend a few seminars or get some service work done on your coach. There will be service providers on site available to work on your coach during the event. A list of service providers will be supplied prior to rally start date. The rally itinerary includes limited informative sessions, a few suggested optional activities, and lots of time to enjoy your old friends and make new. Enjoy four breakfasts, three dinners, two nights of entertainment, all presented in a beautiful event room. The Country Coach Friends International Board will be on hand and eager to help in any way possible to ensure a great time is enjoyed by all! There will be a business meeting where you may ask any questions about the club and its future rally schedule so bring your ideas for future rally locations. Check out a local outlet mall if you get the urge to shop! And of course, there is WinStar Casino if you're feeling lucky.
An Optional Golf Tourney is being planned. Cost is $60/person. Reserve your spot now and you'll receive a separate email with golf details later.

(This significant announcement from CCFI posted by Herb, Forum Moderator, on behalf of CCFI. A similar Rally announcement was posted by CCI for their Fall Rally in October 2011. Equal time for major announcements to keep CCO Yahoo Group members informed. Please address comments and questions about these two rallies to their respective clubs where they can better answer any questions).

Herb,
I think you missed something. The post that started this was by CCFI publicizing their rally. Lee simply followed that with a brief post for the CCI rally. Now, you've posted a major announcement on the CCFI rally. In your effort be fair, you have moved the goal posts a mile.
How about posting the CCI rally registration sheet to even the score?
Better yet, I suggest that you take them all off your excellent Forum.

Sorry, I don't want to hear about such a wonderful CCFI rally. They have their own website, let them advertise there.

I like to hear about all up coming events as i hope to have the time to go to one of them some day. I was glad to see this one as it's close to me. I sure don't have the time to hunt a rally down. It sure gets petty on here sometimes.

While I have no interest in attending either rally, I think it is appropriate for CCO members to get major announcements on both clubs. Naysayers, chill out. Keep up the good work, Herb.

To Herb and all CC owners on this forum,
There seems to be some divergence of opinion about posting rally information on this forum. Some say with good intentions that the forum is for technical topics only. Others welcom rally information and camp ground recommendations.
Perhaps it is time to get a balanced answer to satisfy 99 percent of our readers.
Clearly this excellent site generates a lot of activity and a large proportion of the CC owners in this country log on to seek technical help. Therefore it becomes obvious that if CC owners clubs around the 48 lower states want to attract new members, trolling (or advertising) on this forum is a no brainer.
What we need is a way for ALL CC clubs to be able to capitalize on the wide readership of this site.
My Suggestion:
Create a boiler plate communication that is posted (by the moderator) once per month.
This boiler plate communication would list the various clubs and contain their web site.
Readers of the boiler plate could if they wish save the document to their own file. More important, new Country Coach owners who come to this site seeking help with their new (to them) coach would have an introduction to the many good CC clubs around the country.
With this method, there would be no need to have individual posts about rally information, and with only one post per month no one should get upset by excess mail.
Hope you think this idea has merit.
Sincerely, David
