I would like to replace the carpet and the tile with a wood laminate. What special considerations should I be aware of ? Currently I have two indentation on the carpet behind the drivers seat where the slide went retracted. How do I or can I adjust the tract so this will not happen if I replace with laminate ? Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Stan here is a link to some pictures of the Laminate floor I just did in a 05 Inspire. Give me a call when you have time and we can disscuus the procedures for the indentations you are talking about.

Stan, whenever you take carpet and pad out, you can articulate your slide to observe what impacts the floor from the slide. I have a fibre optic camera that I use to do just this. It also helps to locate any factory remnant debris that is under there. You can also pull down the rubber seal and pry your carpet up to facilitate removal.
Hope this helps, Ernie Ekberg, currently at FMCA in Madison, Wi
