Hello Experts:

We have right turn indicator on our coach which is not working. All others on that side work well. Changed bulb. Still not working. Checked fuses. All okay. We can hear it ticking in back when it is on. The toad right turn indicator works well when hooked to the coach. Any hints before we call mobile technician?

Check the turn indicator socket and socket wiring to make sure nothing is loose in there.

Shirley:

When you replaced the bulb, did you check the bulb socket? I found that the plastic in the socket had melted due to high reistance and I had to replace the board. The tail light and board are available at a junk yard, 2002-06 Dodge Ram, $25. You only need the board. When replacing the bulbs coat the base with a dielectric grease before installing to eliminate problems in the future.

Hope this helps you out.

I also had to replace the socket board. I bought a new one from Country Coach but then found out you can buy them from a Dodge dealer.

The tail light assembly are poorly sealed and the internal connection fails. Here a link to a replacement.

Pardon my interruption, John, but do you suppose the 2002-2006 Dodge Ram 3500 is also the source for the taillight lens?
I have been trying for 7 years to find out exactly what lens was used for the taillights on my 2004 Allure (I want to replace them with an "euro-look" lens). I think I even checked with Country Coach way back and they couldn't help.
Anyway, I've had my tail light assembly apart and the link you gave looks exactly like the circuit board on my 2004.

Thanks,

Jim

The Ram 1500, 2500, & 3500 are all the same part. I saw euro lenses on ebay that claim to interchange with the Dodge lense. Search was under 2002-06 Dodge Ram 2500 tail light.

Thanks Steve. I checked out the taillights for Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 for years 2002, 2003, and 2004. None of those headlights look like the assembly I have on the rear of the 2004 Allure.
All of the Dodge taillights are mounted vertically and wrap around the rear of the quarter panel. My tail lights are mounted horizontally and only the outer perimeter wraps to the side of the motor home.

I'm stumped. So the search continues, but thanks for the lead.
