Title: Microflush Half Gallon Toilets, flapper seal replacement?

Has anyone personally replaced one of these seals. Mine is not holding a seal and allows the bowl to drain.
Any thoughts on replacing the seal that does not involved removing the toilet from the floor?

Gary:

There is no way around changing this seal without removing the toilet from the floor. The new flapper seal comes as a kit & includes a new floor flange seal as well.
Note: Have you tried to lubricate the flapper seal with some vasaline yet?

Actually I was going to replace mine but I took the toilet off because the motor was "crapping out"
You can replace it but you can always try cleaning it first as I did. Also behind the seal, it gets calcium deposits from the water.
Open up the valve and then turn it off with the switch under the top. Clean the seal with the pad as well as behind it where it seats. There's a guy in NJ that sells all the stuff for it. The seals are $12 and just stick on. The old ones you have these tits that lock in to the backing.
The guy in NJ gives good tech support also. Or you can email me at jon@... (jon@...)

Try pouring vinegar in the bowl and leaving it sit. That often will soften and remove enough calcium to allow the seal to hold water.

? If its mineral deposit on the seal causing the problem you might also try CLR.
