I think I need a motor for my Girard G-2000 motor. The motor growls/chatters and would not bring the awning in. I had to crank it in. Does anyone know a good source to get one of these motors? Girard wants $600 and I'd like to do better than that if possible. TIA

For a $600 electric motor I would go to an electric motor rebuild shop and see if they can fix it.

If it "growls/chatters", it sounds like a gear may be stripped. I would take some of the awning apart to get a better look at the situation.

On the shaft they used a plastic bushing. It sounds like the bushing is wobble out.
