We are considering a new (to us) Intrigue. It will need new tires and mattress.
We are in Georgetown, TX. Jerry has called numerous places for tires with no success. A couple of places say they can sell the tires, but cannot mount them, which makes no sense to me. Does anybody have any ideas about a place near here--just north of Austin. Due to the age of the tires, we are not comfortable driving any further than necessary.
Also, we will need a new mattress. Has anybody replaced their mattress recently and can make a recommendation on where to get something comfortable?
For those that did not get the message---the Magna that we wrecked 7 weeks ago today was totaled by the insurance company --State Farm. We got a reasonable and acceptable settlement from them.
Thanks for all your help!!

If it is not too far, then Austin has a TCI Tire Center. I think they are owned or connected to Michelin tires. But it sounded like they could get other tires too, at least the gang I talked to in San Diego.

Some shops due light service too, so if the rig needs it, perhaps at least a lube job before heading out.
Best of luck, and hope this coach will do you well:)! Smitty

Thanks, I saw that name, and told Jerry to call them tomorrow.
I cannot believe that we are having so much trouble finding tires in an area this size.

If you look at the Michelin truck tire web site they list 3 dealers in Austin and Seven in San Antonio. We like the sleep number mattress. You can get then at Campening world or there are usually stores in the Big Mall shopping centers. TWI 2003 Intrigue 117311

Jurhee, T&W Tire in San Antonio carries Michelin's. I've purchased many 12R 22.5 from them. Call 210-661-8271 ask for Efrin or Bobby. The Store Manager is Jon Theissen.

Jurhee,
Have you tried any of the truck stops or the Holt Cat repair? 16017 Interstate 35

Also, we have a TempurPedic and love it. Some time ago, CostCo or Sams had a sale on TempurPedic-like mattresses (not the toppers, the whole mattress). The price was very reasonable. I have heard the mattresses were comparable from a very satisfied friend.
Glad State Farm came through for you! Bill, 05 Intrigue #11881.

Faye and I replaced our mattress with a Sleep Number mattress, too. It let's the bride sleep on her slab of granite while I rest in my nest.
As the always informative TWI shared, Camping World has them (and I might add from experience, at a discount over the Select Comfort stores).
Hope you have love your new Intrigue as much as we love ours!

It is beginning to look like San Antonio might be the closest place, but we will keep looking. The current owner thinks the tires are just fine---but, he does not see the need to replace due to possible sun exposure. "The tread is fine" attitude. Jerry has looked at them closely and does not want to drive any more than necessary.
We have not purchased the coach at this time---still negotiating.

Jurhee,
If you want to purchase new Michelin tires, check out the FMCA Michelin Advantage program. See my note #74258 of a few days ago for details. It will save you a lot over purchasing direct from a dealer.

Ditto on the Sleep Number. When we got our home mattress, one of my buddies commented that since we sleep in the RV more than at home, I would need one for the coach too. He was right and we are both pleased.
