I have no experience with the ZipDee awnings, but based on my own, (and several others, I know), experience with Carefree of Colorado, I suggest going with anything but the Carefrees. I have had to replace the motor on the over the door awning and the patio awning broke the first time it was deployed. It went out and wouldn't come back. Guaranty of Junction City, where we bought the coach, couldn't fix it in the time frame we had available. I have talked to several others who have the same luck, and Carefree isn't very interested in helping with the trouble shooting. They just say take it to an authorized dealer and they can order the parts. Fine if you can leave your coach for the 4-6 weeks it takes to get parts.

Reply to Jim Hodges sad experience. Every time I have asked Carefree for help they have responded admirably; to including truck freighting a 21 foot long replacement center roller, and on two different occassions supplied broken plastic directional controls on each of two ends, the at no charge. I guess it depends on attitude and situation.
