We are heading East in mid-October along I-64 to the Country Coach International Rally in Virginia. We are looking at the Kentucky Horse Resort Campground near Lexington. Came anyone comment on that campground and/or have other camp suggestions?

Lee,

We were just at the Kentukee Horse Park this summer for a few days. Very nice park with lots of open grass space. The actual spaces are maybe 30-40 feet apart. But the asphalt to park on is very narrow maybe 9-10 feet, rest is mostly grass. Is very nice and would go back.

Lee,

We've been there many times. The facility is big rig friendly. Only down side is that all sites are back in. There are a couple with trees but the campground is so big that you should have no problems finding one that will work for you.

See you in Virginia.

We stayed @ KOA in Ladson, SC over Easter weekend. It is just outside Charleston. Close to downtown with easy access to Charleston.

We were in Charleston years ago and the county park called James Island was the nicest city/state park we have ever stayed in.
