Transmission temp at 220 engine temp around 200. The engine warning light comes on we lose the transmission selection light. We turn the engine off, but we cannot start it again.
If we let the coach set for about 2 hrs the engine warning light will go out and the transmission selection light is back and we can now put it in drive. We can only go a couple of miles and the whole thing happens again.
Also if we start the engine in the morning and just let it idle, the transmission temp goes up to 170 in about 15 mins , while the engine temp is still low. The engine warning light will come on again.
We have a 2006 allure and have been stuck since Fri.
Any help is appreciated.

Bobby,
Find you Allison Handbook in coach. Following the troubleshooting guide that tells you how to use your pushbotton panel to achieve the fault codes that may be occuring.
The Handbook will tell you to put parking brake ON, turn Key to ON position, place Transmission in Neutral. Then Press Up & Down Arrow bottons simutaneosly so many times and then read the fault codes that begin to appear. There will be a listing of these code descriptions in your handbook. I don't know your location at this time, but if you reply and I'll look up the nearest authorized Allison distributor for you to call Monday AM.
As I don't know the series of your Allison, I do not know the how many times to have you push the UP & DOWN Arrows that gets you to the troubleshooting mode.
Thanks, Mike 03 Allure 1st Ave. #30898
