Hi All,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying fall. We had a Wineguard antenna installed in January after we installed a new TV. We are now without the Jamo surround sound or the DVD. I would like to know if we just need to replace the DVD, will the VCR, I know it is old, still work and how do we connect the surround sound? Any help or input would be greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.

Marianne,

Yamaha makes a model RX-V367 A/V receiver that we used to drive the surround sound system. It has many inputs (to include 4 HDMIs) of all types to allow connecting just about anything you can imagine. It also fits in the HiFi cabinet. You'll need to do something with the plastic beauty plate, however. We dumped the VHS player and replaced that with a Sony Blu-Ray player. It plays all DVD formats to include picture discs, etc. Lots of options but those are the ones we chose and so far so good.

Off air programming is done via our rear TV to include a DVR. The satellite stuff has been thrown out pending better programming and more reasonable pricing. We make DVDs of a few "off air" programs and watch them later at our own convenience. Good luck.

A suggestion regarding control...we too made a few equipment changes and the result was a pretty useless and very expensive remote that we couldn't reprogram and the equipment dealer couldn't as well.
We changed to the Harmony (Logitech) remotes, now one front and one rear. These we can program ourselves very easily and are easily adaptable to equipment modifications. We used the 1100 series and are very satisfied as they have greater flexibility than the unit that came with the coach.

Title: Where's my EchoCharger?

Hello Group,

I've looked in every bay, service and storage, as well as engine compartment and actually have a pic of the echocharger in my manual, but can't find it. I may have a fuse blown as my chasis batteries are not topped off despite house batteries on float. Anyone with an 08 Intrigue 530 out there; have you had reason to find it and can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
Ed

Ed,

Look in the 4th bay on the passengers side. You will see a removable panel, remove it. Look in the back and you will see the echo charger, it has 3 wires coming out. If I remember correctly one die is red, one red white, and one black. You will also see an inline fuse, I believe in the red wire.

In my Inspire it's in the battery compartment. Front wall, up high. It was in the rear but I moved it to the front for easier access.

It's probably in the Belly of the coach, which is just behind the compartment where the house batteries are. Mine is accessed thru the storage bay right behind the house battery bay. There is a panel that has to be removed in the center of the coach, by entering the storage bay behind the bat. compartment. All of the electric components are in there including the inverter, echo charger and other components such as solar controlers and other unknown power accesories.
