Hello everyone! We recently purchased a 03 Intrigue as our first motor home. Still learning a lot about motor homes, and am finding this group to be very fascinating and informative. Great to see a group of people so positive and enthusiastic about their coaches. I do have one question. The coach had 1/4 tank of fuel when leaving florida. We filled up at GA/FL stateline with 75 gallons. Fuel gauge needle was on the right side of the "Full" line ---- all the way to Nashville. I am thinking the gauge is stuck. I read online it may correct at the next fillup. Any suggestions / comments on this issue/

Thanks in advance for sharing the wisdom! Tracy and Tina

When I fill my Intrigue built from June to August 03 and called an 04 the needle goes past the full mark. At 100 miles into the trip it covers the full mark. Depending on how fast I drive the needle covers the 3/4 mark after 300 to 320 miles and usually takes about 37 gallons to fill.

Our tank is 135 gallons. At 8mpg we can go about 1000 miles on a tank. From the FL/GA state line, it's about 490 miles to Nashville. Seems like you should have about half a tank left. Either that or you're getting terrific fuel mileage! LOL. One of our gauges (Volt meter) quit working and we can't find a replacement. Please keep us posted on the outcome when you refuel.

Silver Leaf? If you have that, you might check what it is telling you. I don't use mine for per tank readings/MPG usage, but think I saw a setting that would allow this...
On 04 Allure ISL370, tag, we seem to stay on the full for quite some time. Last trip, we went to just about 3/4 of a tank. I topped off with 35MPG before parking the rig. 135 Gal tank.
Please let us know if you find that the next gas tank seems to set things loose for you on the readings.

Best of luck, have fun with the new rig! Smitty

Mine did that on the trip home from where i bought it at. I took the float out of the tank and the float rod was hitting the side of the tank. The gauge is not real accurite so I fill it up and pay attention to how many miles i have on the tank and fill up in advance of empty. Also your generator will run out of fuel at 1/4 tank.

Tracy & Tina,

As Smitty suggests, use your SilverLeaf for the best information. I reset a new "trip" every time I fill the tank. That trip tells how far I've driven, hours spent, mileage and fuel consumed. I plan my fuel stop to occur soon after about 100 gallons have been consumed from the 135 gallon tank. The dash gauge bounces around a lot and really only gives a rough idea of remaining fuel. Subtracting fuel consumed from tank capacity gives a pretty accurate indication of how much is left. When I refill, the amount purchased is always within 3-5 gallons of what the trip said had been consumed.

Congratulations on your new purchase - enjoy!
