We would like to know if anyone has used any other campground in the Sacramento area other than CalExpo RV - they are booked solid for a car show and we are on our way from Northern Nevada for the weekend. We usually stay at Cal Expo, and don't know any others down there. Any good suggestions would be appreciated. Thank, John & Joyce 2000 Allure Chandler #30510

You don't have a lot of choices. Lived in sacto 45 years, now las vegas but come back 3-4 times a year in the coach. KOA in west sacramento and the placer county fair grounds in roseville. We just left after spending a month at the roseville fair grounds. You can also dry camp at thunder valley casino free. If your up for 40 miles drive, jackson has a 10/10/10 rv park at the casino, very nice....

You might check out the Beal's Point campground at Folsom Lake. Check the reviews on RVParkreviews.com.

There is another KOA on Hwy 50 in the Shingle Springs area.

We have not stayed at either of those sites.

If you want to be close it is koa west sac. Not the best but safe and close.
Nothing else, stay away from south sacramento area.
