Hi Kevin... Am in chgo where we have had hideous winds and heavy rains.... I have had power issues.... Power turning on and off constantly.., maybe 20 times in half hour... Rv guy came over and said my power surge had a smell of burned wires... He disconnected it saying I could just bypass it till I got another one... Within 10 min power went off again... When gen is run it doesn't send power to micro and inverter keeps shutting off...when I reset inverter it will stay on for 5 min or so and then goes out again... So I am without power at all tonight... I am really scared... This is freaking me out big time... No power at all from post and gen not charging inverter .... The guy said maybe bad transfer switch, ???I am taking it to Rv place in morning, but what in the world is happening Kevin???JanInspire 51898O6 davinci

Got some good news, Chris is back in business for himself as of Next Monday. So if your in the Tucson Phoenix area and want your coach worked on by one of the very best get in Touch with Chris. He has a very reasonable rate and has access to parts from the manufacturers directly or equivalent replacements if you want to save a buck or two. For those who don't know Chris, he was a team leader at CC Service., started out by building Prevost conversions aT CC, he was in charge of warranty repairs for CC for the Western region, while stationed at Beaudry, he later became service Manager at CC, before retiring when his wife graduated from college. He started his own business repairing coaches while CC went under for a couple of years before Lazy Days enticed him to come work for them. But promises weren't kept and Chris wasn't satisfied by the lack of personal contact with the customer, so he's back offering us the kind a service we have always wanted at a great price. Chris also worked at Monaco for a while repairing coaches that were under litigation by owners. He repaired their coaches with customers being allowed to watch, saving Monaco a ton of money. The reason I bought my 04 Intrigue was even though I knew, CC was having issues in service that Chris, Larry Sherwood and Doug Rutherford

Jan, Had similar experience just last week. Found out the incoming power was at 130 volts, Inverter is set to shut off at 130. Upped the setting to 131 volts and was fine. Might check shore power volts, then disconnect from shore power and try generator again. Also shut off all uses of power such as water heater, etc and see if gen will hold then. If so, start adding loads until it trips. Process of elimination. Leonard97' Magna 5418

I have never had power issues anywhere else but this park and I have nowhere else to go for next 2 weeks....I am on way to Rv service center... My gen would power the inverter for only 2 to 3 min at a time and then would shut down. Now the gen won't start at all this morning....I froze last nite... My dog slept in his winter coat and I slept curled up to Jim for warmth, Being all alone is scary when this stuff happens., my boxer dog won't offer any assistance at all.., tells me it's my responsibility...rude of him, huh? Will update u guys laterThanks so much for your supportJan From:

Jan,
Hopefully you are about to get your problem repaired and will not have any further problems. However, as "insurance" (since you are in colder weather territory), you might want to invest in a small electric space heater and good heavy extension cord. Then, if it happens again, you could always plug the extension cord directly into the park power pole, run the cord through the window, and then plug in the heater for heat.

I do all my own service (except for those repairs that require equipment/know-how that I don't have). However, I will add it to my list of 'good places' in case I run into trouble in that area.

Sounds like when he by-passed the transfer switch he may have only hooked the shore power up to the panel ( breaker box) so the gen power won't help. Maybe you should check the power post outside and reset the breaker outside. Hope this helps if not please give us a call anytime and we'll see what we can do.
