Been noticing my both my tach and speedo gauges bouncing all the way to the right, like they are shorting out. Also a heat gauge has been working on and off. Drove 175 miles in high winds and rough road Hwy 20 and after getting off the exit I noticed a couple of red lights flicking off and on for ABS and ATC the past couple miles. Upon entering the intersection the engine died ( never had that happen before). So it restarted so I drove into our RV park. Ran ok so I began to look around and noticed one of the wires to the ignitiion switch was very loose. I pulled the switch out and tightened the 34E wire and according to my manual 34E is the ignition Solenoid. My manual that came with the coach is marked Allure but pretty sure 34 E is the ignition solenoid. Started it up a number of times and seems normal just sitting here. What do you think did I repair the problem?

Thanks for your input

Gerald,

I don't have my manuals handy but the there is a data cable which is a pair of twisted wires with a shield that comes from the ECM and runs up to the front of the coach. The transmission and ABS system and gages plug into it. This is how the engine and tranny and brakes and driver communicate with each other. I think the data wire #'s are K900 and K990 and #249 on the shield. I'm not sure what the 34E is for but if it powers your ECM then it could very well be the culprit. If you have a Silverleaf check it for any recorded events like "ECM low Power". It may or may not have recorded such an event if it was happening.
Good Luck,
Kevin
